Senior Accountant (Hybrid)

Tysons Corner, VA

Salary Range: $42-44/hr

Addison Group's client is searching for a temporary Senior Accountant. This role is hybrid (3x per week) in Tysons Corner, VA paying $42-44/hr. A candidate must have experience in the government contracting space.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Analyze financial results and provide insights to management
• Oversee general ledger activity and ensure the integrity of financial data
• Maintain and reconcile complex balance sheet accounts
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Coordinate and support internal and external audit processes
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Mentor junior accounting staff and support their professional development
• Participate in system improvements, automation projects, and ERP upgrades

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's or CPA preferred)
• 47 years of progressive accounting experience, including GL and financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and internal control frameworks
