Required Skills:
- Current NY State Physician Assistant License
- At least 3 years of recent clinical experience in gastroenterology or internal medicine
- Board Certification in Physician Assistant Studies
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficiency in EPIC charting system and familiarity with Pixys medication dispensing
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to evaluate complex medical problems and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards (NCQA, The Joint Commission, state laws)
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working in a Level 1 Perinatal or Stroke Center
- Prior experience in a hospital setting managing acutely ill adults
- Advanced knowledge of gastroenterology procedures and treatments
- Familiarity with telemedicine or remote consultation tools
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor s Degree or higher in Physician Assistant Studies
- Minimum of 3 years of recent clinical experience in gastroenterology or internal medicine
- Proven track record of maintaining documentation compliance and delivering quality patient care
Other Requirements:
- Availability for a day shift (08:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday)
- Must adhere to dress code, grooming, and safety policies including conservative attire, grooming standards, and no artificial nails
- Ability to provide emergency interventions and prescribe medications per scope of practice
- Must maintain license and certifications current and ensure work history includes no gaps exceeding 30 days
- Must have current NY license in hand and be authorized to work in the United States
