About Air Reading
Across the U.S., literacy rates are falling — with roughly one in three children reading below grade level. At Air Reading, our mission is to change that by making proven, high-quality reading instruction available to every student who needs it most. We collaborate with elementary schools nationwide to deliver small-group virtual lessons that help children build stronger reading skills and confidence.
Our approach is grounded in evidence. Independent research by Johns Hopkins University through a randomized controlled trial confirmed that students in Air Reading showed substantial gains on reading assessments compared to their peers. In addition, Air Reading has earned the ESSA Tier 1 (Strong Evidence) designation and is featured by Proven Tutoring, a national registry of programs with the most rigorous research validation. Responsibilities
Lead virtual reading lessons via Zoom with groups of up to 4 students, in sessions lasting 30–40 minutes.
Be available during school-day and after-school blocks (most classes occur Monday–Friday between 6 am and 5 pm PST).
Teach with the curriculum and clear lesson guidance we provide.
Share consistent progress updates about students.
Foster a welcoming, encouraging environment that supports student success.
