Key Responsibilities Provide excellent customer care to Vetco Total Care hospital clients as part of the Concierge role, representing the mission and values to all customers. Be the first and last point of contact a client encounters when entering the hospital; foster cohesion and motivation within the practice. Support environment where patient needs come first, enable exceptional customer and patient experiences, and resolve issues promptly. Assist in maintaining cleanliness of the waiting area and ensure supplies are stocked as needed. Assist with appointment management, including calling or emailing clients to confirm visits and adjusting schedules as necessary. Participate in the training of new staff and share knowledge as required. Provide backup support to technical staff for room readiness, patient discharge, and other duties as needed. Other Duties Perform additional duties as assigned Nature of Supervision Hospital Concierge reports to the Hospital Office Manager and Hospital Leader on Duty. Planning and Problem Solving Help ensure efficient hospital operations and a high-quality client/patient experience. Manage appointment scheduling and communicate with clients when delays occur, ensuring the scheduled duration is appropriate for the case. This role may involve interacting with upset or stressed clients; must be compassionate, adaptable and able to balance client and staff needs. Impact Contribute to the growth of a productive practice and ensure the first and last impressions of the facility are positive. Supervisory Responsibility This position has no immediate supervisory duties. Education/Experience High school diploma required. At least 1 year of experience in veterinary practice or a customer-facing role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Compassionate, sympathetic, and able to maintain professionalism in emotional or stressful situations. Exceptional telephone and computer skills. A team player willing to learn, adapt to change, and contribute ideas. Preferred: Experience with a Practice Management System. Competencies Completed by Total Rewards Department. Work Environment Work is conducted in the Vetco Total Care full-service veterinary hospital. May involve bending, kneeling, lifting up to 30 pounds, and standing for long periods.
