Description: Ellington Public Schools is seeking applications for summer custodial openings. This position will be districtwide.

Job Summary: Successful candidates will assist in the general upkeep of the district's facilities. Duties include cleaning buildings and furniture, maintaining school grounds, painting and moving classrooms.


Qualifications: Successful candidates must be physically able to perform the essential functions of the position. While performing the duties and responsibilities of this position, candidate must be able to sit, walk, stand, lift up to 50 lbs and move items as needed. Successful candidate must be able to take direction and work independently. Successful candidate will be required to submit to a state and national criminal history check as well as a DCF review.

Working Conditions: This is a first shift at-will position with no benefits. The 2025-2026 hourly rate is $16.94.
