Job Description

Position Title: Store Floor Manager

Department: Floor

Supervisor: Assistant Branch Manager/Branch Manager

FLSA: Exempt

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and responsible Floor Manager who will be dedicated to receiving products, ensuring aisles are well-stocked, clean, and organized, as well as providing top-notch customer service. Join our team and play a key role in maintaining an inviting shopping experience for our customers!

Essential Functions:

  1. Deliver exceptional customer service and foster relationships with large customers.
  2. Supervise and collaborate with the Assistant Floor Manager, Floor Supervisors, and Stockers to keep shelves stocked and merchandise rotated.
  3. Develop work schedules, assess employee performance, and recommend appropriate actions when necessary.
  4. Provide training to employees on job responsibilities and safe operational procedures.
  5. Participate in interviewing candidates and recommend hires.
  6. Ensure all employees comply with HACCP regulations through inspections and regular audits.
  7. Review inventory daily to prevent shrinkage and damages while ensuring proper product rotation.
  8. Maintain accurate pricing and signage aligned with the latest market conditions.
  9. Oversee product receiving and ensure documentation is properly completed.
  10. Keep computer inventory levels precise with regular physical counts and necessary adjustments.
  11. Supervise product ordering to secure competitive pricing while minimizing spoilage and excess inventory.
  12. Coordinate proper storage and tagging of pallets in racks.
  13. Implement and follow a cleanliness program with a scheduled maintenance routine.
  14. Ensure excess inventory is appropriately stored and organized.
  15. Regularly communicate low stock or out-of-stock items to the Inventory Controller.
  16. Ensure all signage is accurate and reflects any promotional pricing.
  17. Strategically merchandise aisles and create attractive displays for products.
  18. Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
  19. Conduct weekly self-audits in the perishable department.
  20. Adapt to varied work schedules, occasionally starting before store hours or closing at the end of the day.

Other Responsibilities:

  1. Complete additional work-related tasks as required and assigned.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

  1. Bachelor's Degree preferred, or
  2. High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 4 years in customer service, or
  3. A suitable combination of education and experience.
  4. Ability to read and interpret general business documents and technical procedures.
  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  6. Strong numerical skills for calculations related to discounts, interest, percentages, etc.
  7. High-level interpersonal skills to manage sensitive situations.
  8. Commitment to company values and customer satisfaction.
  9. Computer literacy is essential.

  1. Regular exposure to cold temperatures.
  2. Working around moving equipment (forklifts, electric pallet jacks, scooters).
