Responsibilities HVAC Design- Ductwork, piping, and equipment sizing and selection Direct expansion (DX) equipment, VRV/VRF air conditioning systems design and central chilled water and heating water plants Review heating and cooling load calculations New building and remodel construction design Familiar with Trane Trace and Carrier HAP programs Performing design calculations and equipment selection and layout of HVAC equipment Heating (gas or heating water) and Cooling (chilled water) central plant system design Experience with building energy performance software, comcheck, rescheck and green building certification criteria, such as LEED Knowledgeable of basic electrical and plumbing general requirements for discussions with Owners, Contractors, Architects, and Code Authorities Knowledgeable of construction administration responsibilities including submittal review, RFI responses, performing site visits and writing field reports Reviewing designs and specification editing Ability to travel for project meetings or job site visits and building surveys as required AutoCAD proficient; Revit experience is a plus Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, EIT or P.E. license preferred Qualifications Familiarity with building energy performance software, comcheck, rescheck and LEED certification criteria Strong collaboration and communication skills with Owners, Contractors, Architects, and Code Authorities Experience with construction administration responsibilities including submittal reviews, RFI responses, site visits, and field reporting Willingness to travel for project engagement as required #J-18808-Ljbffr Jordan & Skala Engineers
