As a Airport Security Professional - Curbside Patrol in Hilo HI you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure airport environment by monitoring airport premises conducting security patrols and enforcing access control procedures. Position Type: Part Time - Morning

Pay Rate: $22.50 / Hour with an hourly bonus of $1.96. Premium paid shall be based on the position actually worked by the employee.

Requirements:

• 21 Years of Age
• Valid Drivers License
• Ability to pass a background check drug screen and physical exam
• Must also have the ability to pass a federal background check for DOT

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors passengers and staff by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents disturbances and critical situations in a calm professional and problem-solving manner and report relevant activity according to site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals public areas exterior grounds and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points restricted areas and vehicle and/or pedestrian traffic patterns and communicate observed issues with supervisors and appropriate personnel.
• Assist with crowd management directional support and general public assistance while maintaining awareness of security-related conditions across the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• This is a primarily driving post.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
