Consolidated Precision Products (CPP) in Cudahy, CA is looking for a Quality Engineer to help ensure the performance, reliability, and safety of precision aerospace components used across commercial, regional, corporate, and military aircraft platforms worldwide.

What You’ll Do?

As a Quality Engineer , you’ll be a key technical partner across production, engineering, and customer teams—ensuring products consistently meet demanding aerospace standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing, maintaining, and improving quality systems, procedures, and best practices
  • Interpreting customer drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
  • Partnering directly with customers to resolve technical quality questions and concerns
  • Using structured problem-solving tools to improve yield, performance, and profitability
  • Auditing production processes to ensure repeatability and compliance
  • Supporting customer and external audits from preparation through closure
  • Driving corrective and preventive action closure (CAPA)
  • Managing non-conforming material investigations and resolution
  • Supporting qualification documentation and data submission packages with engineering teams
  • Generating Certificates of Conformance and shipment quality documentation
  • Supporting statistical process control and analysis activities (SPC, Gage R&R, capability studies, DOE, Six Sigma)
  • Participating in continuous improvement initiatives across casting processes
  • Collaborating with NDT Level III personnel to ensure product compliance
  • Supporting development of internal job instructions and process documentation
  • Maintaining and supporting FMEA, Control Plans, and PPAP documentation

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineeringor 3–5 years of relevant quality engineering experience
  • Experience working with quality systems, auditing practices, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma tools
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9000 standards
  • Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and GD&T requirements
  • Familiarity with casting or complex manufacturing environments (strongly preferred)
  • Experience with FMEA, Control Plans, PPAP, SPC, DOE, and capability studies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organization, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration abilities
