This Prototrak Machinist role supports custom and short-run component manufacturing where flexibility, accuracy, and hands-on machining experience are critical.

The Work You’ll Be Doing\n

In this role, you will:

\n

\n
• Set up and operate Prototrak-controlled machines
\n
• Perform precision machining of plastic components
\n
• Read and interpret blueprints and work orders
\n
• Program at the control using conversational Prototrak software
\n
• Select tooling and set work offsets
\n
• Perform first-article and in-process inspections
\n
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements
\n
• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust as needed
\n
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace
\n
• Support team production goals
\n

This role is ideal for a machinist who enjoys hands-on work and control-side programming.

Machines, Controls & Equipment\n

You’ll work with:

\n

\n
• Prototrak CNC-controlled mills or lathes
\n
• Manual machining equipment (as needed)
\n
• Precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
\n

\n

Experience with conversational controls is highly valuable.

\n

Materials You’ll Work With\n

• Engineered thermoplastics
\n
• High-performance polymer materials
\n
• Specialty plastic components
\n

\n

Experience machining plastics is a plus, but strong machining fundamentals matter most.

What We’re Looking For\n

Required:

\n
• High school diploma or GED
\n
• 3+ years machining experience
\n
• Experience operating Prototrak or conversational CNC controls
\n
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints
\n
• Strong understanding of setups and tooling
\n
• Comfortable inspecting your own work
\n
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused
\n

\n

Preferred:

\n

\n
• Experience machining plastics
\n
• Manual machining background
\n
• Ability to work independently on short-run or prototype jobs
\n
