Hotel Security / Loss Prevention Officer - On Call Grand Hyatt San Antonio, TX Security Hourly/Entry Level Employee On-call/Casual $19.00 hourly (USD) Summary At Hyatt, we believe our guests select Hyatt because of our caring and attentive associates who are focused on providing efficient service and meaningful experiences. The Loss Prevention Officer plays a vital role in preventing theft and keeping hotel guests, customers, and colleagues safe. This fast‑paced position involves customer‑facing interaction and requires strong organizational and communication skills. The ideal candidate will be available a few times a month, on weekends and holidays. Responsibilities Conduct foot patrols throughout the property Respond to medical emergencies on the premises Assist customers, guests, and colleagues with any security‑related issues or questions Monitor and review camera footage Assist with security office duties – answer phones, dispatch calls, sign in visitors, and conduct bag checks Perform all duties as assigned by the Security Supervisor and Security Director Benefits 401(k) Match Free meals provided in employee cafeteria Opportunities for career growth Discounted employee parking Qualifications A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast‑paced environment Refined verbal and written communication skills Ability to stand for long periods and walk moderate distances Must be able to work at least a couple of times a month, and on weekends and holidays. Preferred candidates can work at least one combination of shifts: mornings and evenings, evenings and overnights, or overnights and mornings. Proficient in basic computer skills Prefer candidates with at least 1 year of previous hotel security experience AED and CPR certifications are a plus.
