Job Description
PURPOSE: To be responsible for ensuring overall guest satisfaction, restaurant operations, development of management teams, and delivering of financials. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of the business to ensure our customers are able to successfully “Chill out, and Have a Beer.”
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Restaurant
o Establish business plan focused on providing superior customer service and excellent food
o Identify management staffing needs, interview and hire qualified staff, and set work schedules
o Provide ongoing positive and disciplinary performance management
o Train new and current employees on proper company policies and customer service practices
o Manage restaurant budgets (including labor and food costs), analyze variances, and implement necessary plans to meet financial and P&L goals
o Maintain POS system and run financial reports
o Control purchasing and inventory by negotiating prices and contracts, develop preferred supplier list and monitor usage reports taking corrective actions as needed to cut waste
o Attract patrons by developing and implementing promotional strategies
o Oversee and coordinate staff for Special Events
o Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in the restaurant industry and reviewing professional publications.
o Investigate and respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
o Maintain professional image by ensuring restaurant cleanliness, proper uniform and appearance standards.
o Communicate amongst different departments to organize release of new products, special events, marketing strategies, and inventory levels.
o Schedule regular maintenance for the building and equipment. Report all maintenance issues to the maintenance staff. And be able to perform general maintenance tasks.
o Ensure all licensing, certifications, and inspections are up to date.
o Ensure that all supplies are in stock and equipment is in good working order to be able to operate efficiently.
o Have a valid drivers license to be able to commute to and from bank and local suppliers when needed.
Safety
o Attempt to limit problems and liability related to customers’ excessive drinking by taking steps such as persuading customers to stop drinking, or ordering taxis or other transportation for intoxicated persons
o Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
o Ensure a safe working and guest environment to reduce the risk of injury and accidents. Collect and complete accident reports for guest or employee incident
o Attend all required Safety training and maintain required certifications (ServeSafe)
o Exceed safety standards during daily operations

REQUIREMENTS:
● High School Diploma or equivalent; will accept relevant work experience in place of education
● Prior restaurant management experience required
● Knowledge of computers (Word, Excel, POS system ALOHA and Square)
● Flexibility to work shifts (day, night, weekends, holidays)
● Have a valid driver’s license to be able to commute to and from bank and local suppliers when needed.
● Ability to work well in a team environment and independently
● Obsessive attention to detail and record keeping

● Work is primarily performed in the restaurant, kitchen or office. This job operates a touch screen computer, cash register, and a variety of kitchen/office appliances. The restaurant is housed within the production brewery so the employee may be exposed to temperature changes, wet or humid conditions, noise, vibrations, and other brew production related hazards when in the brew production and storage areas.
