Job Description

Our client, a nonprofit organization based around world preservation, is currently looking a part-time Social Copywriter to help translate long-form content into clear, engaging social and digital copy.

This is a remote role about 5hrs/week where this person will support ongoing initiatives across worker protections, safer chemicals, and related programs by creating concise, audience-friendly messaging for social media and other digital formats.

Responsibilities:
- Translate long-form content (blogs, reports, fact sheets) into short-form social copy and digital messaging
- Write captions and supporting text for social content including Instagram posts, carousels, and short-form video (Reels)
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders to ensure messaging aligns with approved content and brand voice
- Support development of 2+ pieces of content per week across social and digital channels
- Adapt messaging for multiple platforms as needed (Instagram primarily, with occasional support for LinkedIn, Facebook, and X)
- Collaborate with designers to ensure copy aligns with visual storytelling

Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in copywriting, content, or social media
- Strong ability to distill complex or long-form content into concise, engaging messaging
- Experience writing for social media, especially Instagram
- Familiarity with public health, environmental, or policy-related content is a plus
- Ability to work quickly and manage short turnaround times (2-3 days)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow pre-approved messaging
